I put four cornish game hens on the ECB this afternoon. I have a digital thermometer and was using it to measure the temp of the cooking area. Anyway, I snagged the probe cable and pulled the transmitter off the chair it was sitting on. It didn't work after that.
Put new batteries in, pushed the reset button, still no go.
Checked two grocery stores, Wal-Mart, Home Depot and another hardware store, not a one of them had any kind of meat thermometer, not even the direct read dial types! Nothing but empty spaces where they used to be.
Got back home, popped a beer and turned the digital back on. Damn things working now.
