store bought sausage. what casings?

Question. Store bought Italian sausage links. What casing is used? They don't look like natural and are extremely clear.
 
i agree with stayhot,most stores use hog casing, if they are of good quality they will almost look clear.

ok so back at the supermarket tonight and I took an extra close look and I could see the tell tail signs of hog casings.  But these casings are so much clearer and thinner looking than any hog casings I have bought.  Can someone recommend a supplier with high quality hog casings?

Syracuse Casing or Butcher and Packer..... be sure to NOT buy the home pack... get the hank.... about 100 yards.... that's the good stuff...
