During a stall is it normal for not only the temps to stay in one spot but for them to actually drop? I'm smoking ribs right now and 2 1/2 hours in the temp has stalled and dropped a few degrees. Just wanna make sure this is normal.

Most of us smoke ribs by time not temp it's hard to get proper probe placement for a thermo. But the answer to your question is yes the internal temp does actually go down a little during the stall.

For spares try 3-2-1---3 hours on the grate then 2 hours wrapped in foil (add liquid before sealing foil tight) then back onto the grate for 1 hour

For baby backs try 2-2-1

Both times are for smoker temp of 225
