So one of my honey hole GS has cold water tails on sale for 6 each…. I happened to spy these SRF Bistro filets…. They were nicely butterflied and over an inch thick……the marbling spoke to be so they also got the invitation for dinner came home with me 🥳

The filets got wrapped in bacon and marinated with sweet soy….

Thawed and split the tails, I love this particular GS cause they have freezing display cases for shellfish so they stay at peak freshness….ready to start grilling….

The tails on first….on the top rack of the Weber…a grill temp of about 375….brushed with a herbed butter/classic olive…… I could cook these all day and be a happy camper!!!!

Once the tails has a few minutes on go the filets….

18 mins of total cook and a little bit of a rest while preparing the other side….time to plate….

The plate…..served with an Idaho baker and a fresh herb butter drizzle……..

Pure turf and surf $$$ shot….. it’s hard to believe the price point of this is $2 less than a Mcd’s 1/4 lb combo meal……sorry Mcd’s “I’m loven this!”
