Thawed me a store bought duck for a Memorial day spin. I'm trying out this limited edition cherry Kingsford.

Thats a fine looking duck. I just can't keep 'em with any juice anymore. Years ago I even used to smoke pheasants in large volume for friends and for some reason ducks I just can't do with a poot! Pop always liked ducks, pheasants & guinea hens. Yes he liked the dark meat birds.

So what time do we eat? After the game?

Definitely after the game! My storm radio has the LSU game on instead of Alberto coverage. It looks like it will miss us...sorry Alabama/Florida!

Lossing 7 to 1 in the seventh, course they have played 6 games in 6 days and beat the number 1 & 2 in the nation during those. Ol'Miss is just number 4. I think their luck has run out.

A storm? That little thing down by Mexico, we can use the rain so the crawfish farmers can complain about something. <Chuckles>

Yes Kevin...their luck has run out! I hope our luck hasn't run out with these storms.

OMG! I didn't know that my better half has a VERY strong aversion to duck! I brought the duck in, loosely tented, into the oven to rest. A little while later she "smelled something" and needed it out of the house! I had to come up with a back up plan good enough to appease the gods! Behold....

Nice twisted duck! And that catfish looks over the top! Like! B
Thanks B! I had to heat up my duck leftovers outside tonight! It was delicious! I can't believe how strongly my better half objects to duck. She thinks it is from duck hunts and cooks in her past. I've never experienced wild duck cooks, but she wants no part of it.
