Hello! I just got into smoking pork and I think I've been doing pretty good with butts as far as flavor go's.i got a question though, do I wait for the white smoke to go away before putting my meat in the smoker?

Yes, wait for the white smoke to go away, that smoke is nasty, full of creosote which will make you food taste bitter and like an ash tray.

Welcome! And yes, by all means wait for the smoker to settle in and the smoke to thin out before putting the meat on.

Welcome to SMF!
