Hey all! I seen indaswamp indaswamp soup and could not get it out of my mind! Pete and I have been on a soup kick for the last few days!

I will not get into depth…

Here is Keith’s thread I followed as best as I could!

We sure enjoyed the soup! We had most the basic ingredients! I did sub some… we used mini Bella’s as no access to the shrooms Keith had!

I did finally nail my first roux… for some I know roux is easy… but I have struggled making one!

Here’s some pics…

Topped with a bit of Old Bay! Thanks again Keith!

Soup was phenomenally delicious… the flavors were amazing!

Thanks for looking all!

Very Nice!! Great execution! I'd pull up a chair at your table for a bowl indeed! Love that soup! Glad you gave it a go....

Thanks Keith, appreciate it, the like and recipe. We will be making some more soon as the wife was out of town and really wants to try it. One more reason of a million that this forum is just awesome… I had never seen or likely would never have seen that recipe if not for being a member here.

I love exploring new flavors and this one was mighty tasty… Thanks again bud!

BTW, you’d always be more than welcome to pull up a chair!

one tip on the roux....if it does not flow easily when you stir in the pan, add a little more fat to it. It will loosen up and start flowing better when you stir.

Thanks Keith, great info on the roux and will definitely remember to do that! 👍

Looks like a nice warming bowl. Guess I going yo have to give it a try if I can find any decent crab for a decent price.

Thanks Brian, I will say you won’t regret trying it… that stuff is darned tasty! We used the canned crab as that’s what I seen Keith use… it worked great!

Give it a shot! Also thanks for dropping a line and appreciate the like!

Nailed it!! Looks and sounds so rich and decadent.

Thanks Jeff… much appreciated… also thanks for dropping a line and the like!

It was as you described… so tasty!
