In case some one needs a campfire and can't get to one right now. Here you go!

Looks relaxing if I could pretend it wasn't summertime in the South lol
We finally got a break here in WI, it's finally comfortable shorts weather at 66°.

I was down to Florida in June with my family and got a taste of the heat down there. We are getting close to the cool down of fall here. This is when I like to really start camping! You can actually sit within 50 feet of the fire, lol.

I'll sure enjoy your fire! Starting to cool down here in the evenings as well! Well seems to anyways when you're used to hot and humid! Not a good start to the day when dew point is same as outside temp!

That's the understatement. We're under so many fire restrictions it's hard to keep track. Heck, the entire town of Lame Deer, just over the border in Montana has been evacuated and a few others might see the same fate.
Yikes, hope things get better for you out there soon!

I can relate: We have a couple of bonfires each summer. This one was from a few years ago.

Thanks for the campfire, we try to have one every night or so.
Its been hot for here in Nova Scotia 28 - 35 C ( 85 -95 F ) with thunder rolling around every day no rain. so real humid this week. Unless your by the coast and than a nice cool breeze.

I learned in my younger days when camping on the river bank or the lake shore, if you build a fire, someone will butt up to it regardless of the time of year. Now they may be 50'+ from it, but they will butt up to it :emoji_grinning:...

Very true! In my 20+ years camping I only witnessed the fire without someone around once. It was 98 in the shade with unbelievable humidity, and I worked a 12hr shift. When I got to the campground there was an enormous fire and the kids were in one camper and the adults in the other. We still chuckle to this day about it when we get together.
