Good morning Ernie. Sorry about that, I should have put where I'm located, that would help wouldn't it! I'm in Southern California, in the San Fernando Valley. Yes, I believe the bbq guru does work on most models of Backwoods. I don't know if I can post a link here but there is a 40 dollar adapter bbq guru sells for the backwoods.
