I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I smoked fish years ago in Alaska with a Littke Chief. Mine was ok but but my friend really had it right. I never could produce the same tasty salmon he made but also never quit pursuing it. Just bought a Masterbuilt electric and seems to work well. Haven't really smoked for years but into it again!
