Tonight I'm grilling some Pork chops and Polish sausage. The Sausage is precooked. I'm grilling it just to get it the heck outta here. The chops were rubbed with Meatheads Magic dust, and are hanging out in the fridge right now.

Saturday I'm smoking ABT's to take to a pot luck, some Italian Sausage for Monday's Spaghetti, and a fatty just because........

Sunday I'm going to grill some Sirloin steaks.

So what do y'all have planned?

Raining tomorrow, raining on Sunday so this weekend is a bust. Monday I am busy but Tuesday I believe I might try my first chuckie (depending on price at the store), throw on a few fatties and most likely some turkey legs. Maybe try a new brine with the legs...

scored a (picnic, bone-in) pork shoulder at 98 cents/lb - got one at 7.5 lbs. never done a shoulder before, so will have to try it and also have an idea for a fattie for the spring throwdown.

might not get them done this weekend due to weather, but will keep options open and if not this weekend then next weekend.

Nothing here

The Dr. decided to take my little girls tonsils out today and she is 100% daddys girl so I imagine she ain't gonna let me get anywhere near my smoker this weekend.

That's ok though, plenty more weekends coming up

My wife flies outta here tomorrow am. She's gonna drive my mom home from fla next week. Great weather here for tomorrow so I grabbed a chuckie and a rack of ribs. Should grab the stuff for some Dutch's beans on the way home from the airport tomarrow . Never know what else may slip into the cart

This weekend we are supposed to have snow, and potentially a lot of it if the weather people are right (which they rarely are!). This will be the only real snow of the year if we get it...all we have had is lots of COLD! I will be picking up a shoulder at HyVee as they have it on sale for $.99 a lb, and will do that next week with some salmon for Mrs Engineer. I am going to nail down my strategy for the spring fattie throwdown, and that is about as close as I will get to the smoker. Have a good weekend.

Next weekend is 2 briskets, 3 butts, 8-10 racks BB, several fatties and some Dutch's Wicked Baked Beans. This weekend (Tuesday) I think I need to do a practice brisket. Maybe some practice fatties and some practice baked beans, too. I wouldn't want to mess up in front of friends and family, now. Would I?????

No smokin' this time around- we're supposed to get a bunch of wet sloppy snow on SAT, but no worries...

I picked up my SnP mods from my welder buddy and after I take some pics I'm going to do a nice burn-out this weekend to get ready for next one. Gotta get ready for our Fattie Throwdown.

rivet - if you don't mind, get some dimensions etc. for the welded stuff. my son is actually training to be a welder right now and i might be able to talk him into doing the welding work for me.

I got 2 stuffed pork loins in the smoker right now, Qview and description in the thread below,
http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/showthread.php?t=75058

Tonite around ten or so I am putting in 17 pounds of picnic shoulder to smoke through the nite, so we will have the family over for pulled pork tomorrow.

And then Sunday, I have three racks of baby backs going in. A smoke filled weekend here at my house.

Qview of the ribs here somewhere... can't rmember where i put it already... must be the smoke clouding my brain...

Joe

If the weatherman is right it should clear out sometime tomorrow and Sunday I'll try a couple butts a chucky and who knows what else

Got my butt rubbed & ready to go for tomorrow.

Sun - Probably do a wood fired smoked ribeye. I'll smoke it until 110* then finish over a lump fire with some wood chunks thrown in.

Who knows what else I'll throw in there...

We have some friends coming over for dinner before heading out to a play. I am planning to hot smoke some salmon, break it up and serve it with some rotini pasta with an aruqula pesto. I've done this using some beet greens for the pesto and it turned out great.

I also have some smallish sea scallops and thinking of doing a cold smoke on those and then finishing on the grill or in cast iron pan and serving with a smoked corn soup for a first course.

I'm open to suggestions.

Got some pork loin chops that (weather allowing) will hit the brine early in the morning and the smoker noonish. May brush one or two with various glazes too see what happens.

Otherwise, it's fried chops for dinner.. :)

Sun is right out as I'm heading over to a buddy who I'm taking classes in woodturning from.
