So this is my New Years Eve

So what is everyone doing tonight to ring in the new year?

Me and my wife we are both hitting 60yo very soon, so we're not going to do much, staying home for sure, now we both have places we can go together (plenty of invites).
But ya know what, now a days, it's just better off sitting at home in front of a warm fire and getting a little stupid with the one you love.
Playin it safe, and stayin off the streets!

So here I am sittin by my laptop drinkin and chattin wit you all, with my wife havin her wine, and watch her shows on TV.
Hopefully we will make it to bed together and not pass out before that. LOL o_O

So after this post, if I sound a little fuzzy, it's the booze!:D

Couldn't agree more Forkin'!! I'm 54 and the wife is 53 but we gave up the late night party scene years ago.....well she and I have never been into that scene as a couple. "Back in the day" I thrived on going out, staying out till the wee hours of the morning, and wondering sometimes how I got home :-) Blessedly those days are in the past. Leave the roads to the idiots (and law enforcement), stay home, and stay safe. We had two of our best friends over for a couple racks of St. Louis ribs that I smoked yesterday, a celebratory drink, and they were on their way home before 7:00. No sense taking chances, especially with the foretasted weather we were supposed to get last night in Central Texas: temps in the low 20's with wind chills in the teens and possible freezing rain / sleet. Being that we live in the Hill Country, the roads can be enough fun in perfect conditions but can be really scary if they start to ice up. Everybody is safe and wishing all of my SMF friends a happy and prosperous New Year, which should include lots of great food and the continued camaraderie that we share here. All the best to everybody!!
