Ok, I have heard that in order to figure out what works, I should keep a log of what I did.

As many of you will already have logs, is this something that could be shared?  Perhaps others in my area could share what works so a newbie like me is not starting off at ground zero.

I realize that geography will play a part as 80F where I am will involve humidity whereas in other areas 80F means 80F.

Hello and welcome to SMF!

You can get a detailed/simple as you like, I have a spiral notebook for different items, for example beef, pork, etc and just write the details of each smoke with the date.
