I have the opportunity to get a pigs head for free from a local slaughterhouse, so it will be usda inspected. Has anyone smoked one before? if so what does one do with it afterwards besides the cheek meat.

I gave Sir Francis Bacon's head to a neighbor guy who asked for it.
I believe he boiled it to remove anything there.
I did not want to know what he did with it, nor know if it tasted good.
The balance of Sir Bacon was Butcher processed and made a large pile of delicious pork, with emphasis on Bacon.
He was a very fine piggy! A very fine piggy indeed!
I raised all of our slaughter animals like pets. They walked to the Butchers truck on leashes.
But if you get your hogs head figured out, and you like the results, a source of free meat might be quite sweet.
