Smoking salt and pork?

    I have a 2 lb pork tender loin I plan on smoking this afternoon and have been wanting to try smoking salt as well. My question is can I smoke them both at the same time or should I wait to do the salt by itself? I'm not sure if I'll get meat flavor into the salt having it in at the same time or not?

    Whenever I smoke something I always put a small tray of salt in it too. It only picks up the smoke smell. No problem with off smells. That way I always have some great tasting salt around to add a unique taste to this or that. The KISS principle!
