Hello My name is Ruben. All of my friends call me Dio and even some people I dont know. I am fairly new to the smoking scene motsly because I havent been stationary for about 5 years and second because I am living in a apt in NYC. Most of my smoking experience comes from yes you guessed it an indoor smoker. I want to make it into the big leauges so bad so this summer or when the weather starts to look up im starting up on a portable grill. I consider my self a beginner / novice and want to learn as much as i can. I am passionate about the trade and am positive I am in the right place !

Welcome Ruben, DaddyD, Dio!

Don't be afraid to ask questions! Post your successful and non-successful smokes. It's how we all learn.

Check out the Mini-WSM forum here. It's one of the easiest to use, easy to build, cheapest, super fuel efficient portable smokers you can find. Perfect for apartment dwellers who need to pack up and smoke somewhere besides home. One more great benefit is it's also a grill. BBQ ,or smoke or do the ultimate, reverse sear ( smoke the food, then sear).

Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with there opinion on the subject.
