Just got back from the comp. Didn't get to stay for awards.
Tasted a few of the pros q and a bunch of the back yard q's.
Nothing just blew me away so i guess my stuff must be pretty good.
Did get the word out about the site and was amazed at how many never even thought of the web as a place to look for info.
Highlight of my day was getting to sit and talk w/ johnny trigg for a while .
We discussed the show and they start filming the new season in april.
Said he believes it's moving to sunday night .
Was suprized that over 90 % of the pros do not use the big pits (trigg does) Most use mulitple small well constructed smokers and/or pits.
this comp was charcoal / wood only and had 50 pro teams and 60 bqackyard teams.
They turned away 18 pros and i don't know how many backyard teams .
