How does the salt come out or was it your first time?  My wife fell in love with smoked salt on radishes when we were at a really high end restaurant that had a waiting bar last year and I haven't been able to find it anywhere locally yet.  Any help would be appreciated.

If you have a Fresh Market or Earth Fare grocery store near you...they carry smoked salt and many other "exotic" salts.

Ok here is how it turned out...


Just out of the cooler & towel.

Salt coming along nicely. It will go back in the next time I hot smoke with Pitmaster's Blend. So far I have oak, maple & hickory smoked salts

Well the pulled pork turned out great & my parents (especially my dad) really enjoyed it. Chef JimmyJ's rub did a fine job as well! I am very glad I decided to smoke it for them...

Ok it is pulled off & resting


This is right when I took it out...

It is wrapped & has been resting in a cooler for now.

My parents just got here so I am gonna cook some CB for them to try while it is resting then I will be able to post results of the CB challenge.

Thanks! It's pretty good but I didn't get it in quite soon enough so I will put it back in for a while the next time I hot smoke with Pitmasters Blend.


I have hickory, oak & maple smoked salt so far & soon I will have Pitmaster's Blend

  There was enough for a large sammich but I sent it with my dad last night...
 
It looks great....hmmmm Smoked Salt...have seen it but never thought about it much.  How long in the smoker....for the length of your meats???  Just thinking ahead to my next smoke.

I usually try to get at least 8 hrs of smoke on my salt. I'll put it in, bottle it when the smoke is over & throw it back in next time I'm using that particular wood again.
