This is my version, left the membrane on;

Baby Backs


Rubbed with Al's recipe, thank you kind sir


Wrapped and into the frig for a couple of hours


Used the grill instead of smoker, indirect heat @ 250F, smoker tube with apple pellets.

Pulled at 167F then wrapped with butter and rub and back on the grill until  IT of 192F


Finished product


On the plate....YUM!.....Tender & tasty


Looking forward to the next cook on the smoker.
