My smokin Tex 1400 finally kicked the bucket after 17yrs of operation and beating.
I ordered a new element and thermostat then starting down the PID rabbit hole.

Currently I have the element installed and it’s being controlled by a Rex C-100 PID. I have it sent to what I believe is full power setting with P-I-D all set to 0000
The oven turns out. The element gets red hot. But I can’t seem to get the oven above 200degrees. I have SV set to 225. Gets to PV to 200.. I set SV to 255. Still won’t go above 200. Set SV to 155, power cuts and it drops to 155 and holds the temp…. The factory smokin Tex went to 250 I was hoping to squeeze maybe 325 from the new controller. I was thinking faulty thermocouple or maybe a setting but expected an increase in PV when I set the SV to 255.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated
