We have been traveling since August and just got back. Home for two days and smoked a ham to work out the cobwebs! I used an apple-honey basting sauce, smoking over apple. So good!

Most of it is being given away to friends going through hard times.

I have a bit of brisket rubbed and ready to smoke tomorrow for brisket chili. I’m having some old friends over Friday for a chili night to give support to a friend whose wife was just diagnosed with ALS and is declining rapidly.

Wednesday I’ll be smoking a chuck for shredded beef tacos for the family when they arrive for the holidays. And just for the heck of it, on Tuesday I’m making pasta for Mrs. Smoke. It is nice to be home!

Thank you everyone for the likes and welcome back!

Ham looks wonderful! So many people have fallen on hard times. Prayers to your friend.
Thank you. These are very old and close friends. I am glad I can provide a distraction, even if for a short time.
