Hey all, I finished up my fridge smoker a few months back but am just getting around to building the racks for it. I've only done hams up to this point so I haven't needed them yet. Anyways, I'm going to be using expanded steel for them but am wondering what to finish them with. High heat paint? Or just treat them like a cast iron and oil/heat/repeat until they're seasoned? Thanks in advance guys. I've attached a couple pics for enjoyment.
