Here is what I have so far.  Just been able to work on the frame so far. just getting started.  Here is another firebox idea of mine.  what do ya think about turning this old small smoker into a firebox?  Think it will work?

  2. Your off to a good start. As far as the fire box I would build a new one since you have already put a lot of work into it. What temps are you trying to get?

    Happy smoken.

Got the door on Still need to get boards put in to hold racks.  Still need a smoke stack and some decorative things but house is mostly done.  It dried up for about a week but got a lot of rain today so still to soggy to start on a base.

Well it has finally dried out just enough to get a pad put down today.  We really needed one more sack of concrete to add to it, but it was to late once we started to get another.  It came out a little rocky, but it will be a good base and the mortar will smooth it out where it needs it.

Base is done, anchors are in, along with cooking racks on a rainy Saturday

Linseed oil applied, and firebox almost complete. Wanted to get the house on the base this weekend, but mother nature is having a pool party in Texas right now. It is way to soggy to do much in this part of the world.
