I know I know. But when you stuff them with enough goodies they're actually pretty good.

I'll probably end up doing a beef/pork burger for my first smoked burger but I had to ask.
 
Do them the same as a regular burger, but remember it will dry out quicker depending on the turkey that you are using (breast, or the other pasts)
 
Yeah you can turn a healthy turkey burger into an artery clogging monster really fast.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
 
We do a pretty good turkey burger once in a while. My wife roasts a head of garlic and then mixes it with the turkey meat. Add salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder and mix well. Then I make 4 thin patties and top 2 of them with gorgonzola and put the other 2 patties on top and seal the edges to form 2 stuffed patties. I haven't smoked these yet. Usually I grill them and lightly baste with teriyaki while Turning them. Put them on 2 buttered toasted sesame rolls and add your favorite condiments. Dinner is served.
