Hey everyone me and my father smoked a ham on his new custom smoker today! Turned out real good. I've been smoking hams for a while now, just wanted to try out his new smoker
Funny you should post this! I was just looking to recreate a sandwich I had at a Bavarian restaurant while on vacation this last week. It was called a "Wunderbar" at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth, Michigan. It had delicious smoked black forest ham piled high with melted colby cheese with lettuce, tomato and honey mustard on a homemade pretzel bun. It was outta this world! Now could you possibly tell us how you smoked your ham and any tips? Thanks!
Hey everyone that ham was delicious. I did one thing different than I usually do, I let it cook in root beer instead of apple juice. I made my on apricot glaze with brown sugar. Put it on the smoker for five hours. The first 31/2 uncovered. I glazed every 45mins. Wrapped it the last hour and half. It was great, I think I will use root beer from now on!! Happy smoking y'all!!!!!
