Not a fan of salmon but those look good! Maybe just haven't had or found the way we like them. What did you candy them in or with?

Ryan

Nice looking salmon candy moto.

Point for sure
Chris

Damn, that looks spot on bruth'a, nice work on the strips, and the color is perfect, I bet it's amazing!!!

Back when we used to be able to Salmon fish in Cali.
(Our F'D up DFW took away our season about 5 yrs ago) 🤯😤🤬
I used to give away more Salmon than I kept, and I always had a freezer full of it.
My family has been commercial fishing, and fish wholesaling for well over 150 yrs.
Most of them have passed away, or the market drove them out, so it's pretty much over now. Although I still have a cousin in the fishing industry, that bis doing fairly well for his family.

I have an Absolutely KILL'ER Squaw candy recipe if anyone wants it, I will never post it but will private message it to anyone that wants it. And I will ask anyone who gets it, treats it this way as well.

Nice work on the salmon strips.
Dan.

Heck ya! I'd like that recipe. Up here in nodak we have had a few good years for them on Sak. I usually go down to SD too believe it or not. Taste way better than any store bought I've had..

No problem, let me dig it out, and I'll snap a photo of it and PM it to you.

I'm going to say this with confidence, I know you will like it, everyone that tries it likes it.
My family has sold literally tons of the stuff. The recipe I'm going to share with you, isn't the exact family recipe, it's my version of our recipe, I like it better than the original recipe.

Looks awesome to me! Wish salmon weren't so dang expensive around here

@forktender , I too would love to try your recipe! I've been smoking salmon for about 40 years and love trying new flavor profiles. And of course I'll keep it under wraps. Much appreciated!
