1.5 assembly  time

Burn it off for 3 hrs. and all is great .

Started to check temps way to hot compared to my rei chek 73.

Trying to find 225 for now( no fine control will work on that) .

Wife  said ribs this sat. So better get it on related to temp.

i turn it a fraction and change 35deg

I need that fine ajust regulator!. by the way I don't have permission to attach pic.????????????? or i would have.

I have the same smoker too, it takes a little tinkering to get used to the temp knob, but once you figure it out it's a great smoker.

ConGrats on the new Rig JT. and like most will tell you, your not suposed to try to adjust the burner flame hight when you have had a few Bushmills. The vapors just make the burner flame Higher and Hotter..Poof.!

Question does anyone know the size of the wood tray that comes with the smoke vault 24? Also for those of you that have one, how often to you have to replace the wood chunks? Thanks

It's about 12x12, & I put a chunk in every 45 minutes to an hour.

I usually start it with a couple of chunks & some chips to get it smoking right away, then chunks only.

I mostly use mine for cold smoking. I find the gas adjustment not fine enough for small incremental increases for lets say meat sticks. I have tried a couple times and the wind blows out the flame if its too low. I have never had it over 200f to cook anything else. I use my other smokers for butts and ribs etc.

SmokinAl so if I did all chunks, would it be able to go for at least an hour and a half without having to add more?

It depends on how thick the chunks are.

I cut my own chunks from splits, usually about 1" thick.

Even if you use all chunks they will all burn up at the same rate.

You can always just get an Amazen tube & put it on a grate & forget about the chips or chunks.

It will give you smoke for a few hours if you get the big one.

Just got my new smoker! Ran it to season first. I used cherry wood and mesquite as well. Smelled amazing!
