Well, at least as far as facebook. Yesterday I was just scrolling the main facebook page, and a girl I worked with close to 20 years ago posted that she was going to try to grill ribs for her family and didn't have a clue as to how. There were several responses, ranging from the crock pot to boiling them (aaack). Now I've had no contact other than facebook with this person in almost 20 years. She lives several states away, and it's likely we'll never actually see each other in person again. However, through the magic of the interwebs, I spent the afternoon messaging back and forth with her and helping her get the ribs done. Suggested to basically do a variation on a foil braise, then finish on the grill, since I feared the pitfalls of indirect grilling might have been too risky. No smoker apparently, and I believe just a gas grill.
Long story short, the ribs turned out well and her family loved them. I'm hoping she and her hubby get the bug and start bbq-ing in earnest.

Here's the q-view she posted. She said they were very tasty but not too meaty.
