I flipped the control valves around so I could run it out that side, in the design that area around the vent is insulated single wall so it would be easy to drill an access hole. It was very windy so I ran the center burner on high during the dry out time ( 100 degrees ) then once I bumped up the temp I ran all three and controlled temps with a needle valve I installed on the regulator.

Yes, i have spoken to Pops several times through PMs and about this burner and went with his suggestion on it. it is working out very well. Yesterday during a dry run I had all three burners going but had them tweeked really low and I fanned the door several times purposely trying to blow the flame out, never managed to blow all three out. When one would blow out it would self ingnite back up off of the other burners, which is a big plus!

Thanks Onytay, That's what i was wondering about.

It's hard to sit in the house wondering if your burner has been blown out.

I'm using my turkey fryer for now and i have to keep a check on it.

It hasn't blown out yet but it would be nice to know i had a burner i didn't have to worry about.

I couldn't agree more! Even with strong wind and even stronger gust today I was able to control the temp very consistently. Having a wireless therm to monitor smoke chambers temps you would notice right away if the flame blew out or your chip pan flared up just by how fast the temp was climbing or falling. If it worked out that well in today's windy condition, it would be even better in "Ideal" conditions..... I don't like waiting for ideal conditions!

You are more than welcome, Onytay!  Our sole purpose is to be here to help in any way we can!  You're the one who made it happen and did the build and made it your's, and you should be commended for your skills and perseverance in building a great smokehouse and be proud of it too!  I hope you enjoy it and make some great product for you and your family, neighbors and friends to enjoy (and believe me, you will suddenly discover lots and lots of them!  You just can't hide a smokehouse, lol!).  Be sure to post lots of pics of your smokes, we love to drool!
