Size of smoker

My smoker says is has 505 sq inches of cooking space. I figure that is simply the 3 racks that it has and if another rack was put in (there are bracket spaces for another rack or two) then I'd be increasing that by a substantial amount. Kind of a superficial spec, I think.

Do they ever give the cubic inches inside? That seems maybe as much or more relevant when comparing smokers.
 
I have seen a few list the Smoker's size in Cubic Feet but not inches...JJ
 
Pretty simple math to figure smoker volume. Grate size is more relevant, IMO. (Assuming a logical looking grate layout in the given smoker.)

I changed electric smokers principally for grate size consideration.
 
I had an old charcoal grill I selected because I could fit 6 racks of baby backs on it, side by side. If in doubt, see the grill before you buy and measure the rack to ensure your meat will fit.
