Greetings all,
Quick drumstick cook today on the vortex. Hit half with Holy Voodoo and half with HC Red. 45 minutes in a hickory smoke bath and 🔥.

Looks darn good. I have the charbaskets......Will they do the same as the vortex or close to that for chicken?

Not sure, Jim. I've never used them like that for chicken. Only one way to find out though!

@JCAP Ok I bought a vortex yesterday. Question for ya.....Do you use a chimney to get coals going or start them in the vortex?

@JLeonard I've done both but I usually use the chimney to get them nice and glowing. Then I pour into the vortex!
