Anybody use silicone oven mitts?

How well do they work?

I think it would be nice to have an oven mitt that I can just clean in the kitchen sink rather than in the washing machine all the time, the cloth ones get dirty so easily.

When I first saw the silicone brushes, I thought they looked like a dumb idea, but I've come to really like the one that my Mom gave me....it doesn't get nasty like a regular pastry brush.

I use mine religiously. They have saved my bacon a couple of times when I had to pull something out of the "fire".

I use them, and they do clean up nice, either in the sink or dishwasher.  Heat has never been a problem.  They aren't really easy to work with though.  They are stiff, and not really easy to grab something.  When I do, I usually use a mitt and a utensil.

What Bookem said..... not very flexible...  A little small for my hands....  10" around the knuckles...

I love mine!

I have two kinds...the all silicone kind which has the disads above...I also have one with a cloth base with interwoven silicone or silicone strips that offer a lot more flexibility and seem to work just as well (for my needs at least!)
