The shrimp fairy said I had been a good boy!

We used to call this size ice chest a 48, this one said 52. Must be new math. Maybe that European metric system?

It was full! The captain called as he was headed ashore, Of course he was met at the dock.

I think They are about 21/26. <shrugs>

I headed 'em, will bag 'em and tag 'em in the AM and into the freezer.

I guess it is because I am from here but I just think those shrimps are beautiful. They always are when fresh.

So should I fry some? I am kind of leaning toward a shrimp okra and andouille gumbo........ okra and shrimps are fresh and I made the andouille.

Yeppers, it sounding pretty good.

I just wanted to brag about the shrimps. I gotta go take a shower (seems the A/C in the garage is out. I have become such a weenie baby!..........LOL)

Cajun BBQ Shrimp and a loaf of crusty French Bread is my favorite way to induldge...JJ

That'll run you about $200 dollars here. That's why I make chicken and sausage gumbo..

But I wouldn't hesitate to toss some of those in..

Love me some shrimp and those look awesome! I used to travel to New Orleans and Florida for a company I worked for back in the 80's. I would always buy fresh shrimp from the crab shacks on the docks before I left for home. I'd fill up a couple coolers loaded with ice and check them with my luggage. I remember paying $1.10lb for shrimp with the heads on.

Wife and I would stand at the kitchen sink and clean shrimp all night after I got home and bag and freeze. Good times!

You gotta smoke some of them bad boy's!

I made a comment about BBQ'd shrimps today at lunch (had liver and onions BTW), and my sister said she does fresh shrimps in BBQ sauce in the crock pot and has it with hot buttered fresh bread.

Looks like I'll be trying that, that is two dependable recommendations.........

I am thinking a remoulade, that is an ice cold boiled shrimp salad with a special cocktail sauce like dressing. When made right there is nothing better when its hot.
My Grandma would go to the A&G cafeteria and buy their remoulade sauce every year for Christmas!  I never understood it, it was like we were undercover at the back door before they opened.
