Just got my 10 lbs of high temp cheddar from B&P. $44 plus $10 shipping. They do a great job packing the cheese in an insulated box.... Close to $5 a lb and I'm a happy camper...

The sausage forum is getting busier with the sausage season ramping up...  Cant wait to see what all the sausage heads whoop up this year.... Its going to be a good one

Joe

Looks like a great deal Joe - cant wait to see what you whip up with that

That's a great price Joe. I used to pay the same from a local Butcher shop out in Central PA. Would always pick up a bunch when I was out there.

I need to order some of that. I been wanting to use cheese in some of mine...

That's the same place I bought my high temp cheese from last fall. 5 lb hot pepper and 5 lb Cheddar. Great product, at a great price. I put it in my Cajun hot sausage, Deer sticks, and Deer summer sausage. Will be usuing them again this year.

I buy my hi temp cheese right from the cheese plant.  There's a store at the plant, where they sell overruns and other cheese.

They have Cheddar and Pepper Jack on hand

Only problem is I have to buy 15# bags

Good news is it's $30/15# Bag

I separate it into 1#, vac seal and freeze

no cheese plants in this part of texas :( where is the best place online to get a good variety of high temp cheese?

butcher-packer.com best place, with the best prices I found on line. I've also bought high temp from conyeagerspice.com and sausagemaker.com but there cheese is more pricey. All have the same product, I couldn't tell any difference. I also do what TJohnson does and buy in bulk, and vacuum seal in 1 lb. bags and freeze.
