SO i smoked some ribs, chicken, turkey, and sausage this last Saturday on Black Betty and i thought i would share some pictures of what i did.

I also developed a sauce recipe to make a nice red appearance on my ribs.

1/2 stick margarine

1 cup of ketchup

1/4 AC vinegar

1/8 cup turbinado sugar

1/8 cup white sugar

1 TBS salt

2 tsp of black pepper

1 TBS of garlic powder

2 TBS of paprika

(simmer all the ingredients for 20-30 minutes on low heat and let cool....sit in refrigerator for a couple hours to marry flavors)

here is the qview of the ribs....

I honestly think i burned the white sugar in my sauce a little so next time I'm going all turbinado sugar. (sugar in the raw)

as you can see in the pics i had some chicken on the smoker as well....

they were leg quarters i got for 50 cents a pound so brined them and smoked them and then pulled them made pulled chicken sammies for dinner Sunday!

I also brined a turkey breast and smoked it for lunch meat and i have qview of that...

It was a fun time with a big smoke on nice Saturday!

thanks for looking!

Happy Smoking

Thank you Al!

Yep i love my Lang i wish i could smoke on her more than once a week!

Those ribs went to 198 IT after 3 hours so i sauced them and pulled them after 20 more minutes.

Black Betty cooks fast but she makes good Q!

Happy Smoking,
