Sandblasted, Now what?

This is my first UDS build. I had my drum sandblasted and now it is really rough due to the sand hitting it. Should I sand the inside first or leave it? Does it matter?

coat it with oil and heat it up to set the oil and that will season it....... like a cast iron fry pan..... re coat and repeat.... heat to about 400... reach the smoke point to drive off the volatiles....
