So I know a guy that set 2 strip steaks out to thaw from the deep freeze around 530-600 last night. Vacuum seal bag. He then went to the local high school football game and forgot about them being in the sink when he got home. Then remembered them this morning around 830-900 and he put them in the fridge.
Think these will be okay to grill tonight, or do you think he ruin 2 beautiful steaks?

I know a guy who has done the same thing more than once...and lived to tell a story of a great meal every time!

Back in the olden days before refrigeration it was normal for a family to get up in the morning and eat on the leftovers from the previous nights meal...that had been sitting out since. Now, would the USDA advise this? Heck no, their safety factor is a gazillion...but "I aint skeered".

Now a days we are getting warned not to eat the Chinese rice after it sits on the counter for half an hour....lol

I felt the same and figured it would not be an issue! I told him if he doesnt grill em, I will!

Anyone over 60...I would not recommend eating the steak in question. Your immune system is not as robust as you age.......
