Im looking at a couple portable smokers. I will still have my Bradley 6 rack, PID for sausage making.

The 2 im looking at is the BDS Mini 1427 which is charcoal

And the Old Smokey electric.

Both are pretty close in dimensions and price.

Yeah i know BDS = Charcoal use anywhere.

Old Smokey = electric........I have a 5000w generator

So what would y'all get between the 2.

Do you have an inverter on the coach? If you do and it is big enough to handle the smoker (mine is 2000 watts) you will not have to run the generator much at all except to recharge the batteries.

I don't have any experience with either of those smokers but did pick up this one which works just OK

Camerons Smoke N Fold Electric - I have done a couple of chickens and a TriTip in it with decent results. I got the blanket for it as it was a special when I bought the unit and it does help with the heat retention. Use the AMNS with it for smoke.  The best part is it folds up and fits into a bag for travel

My first thought is do you want to listen to the generator for hours with an electric?

Generator is major quiet...5000w onan. Will only need if out in a park w/out 50 amp service or no power at all.
