I'm going to smoke a ham this weekend and was going to follow Jeff's suggestion with slathering with yellow mustard and then a rub. Does anyone have any suggestions for a rub to use on ham?

Thanks,
Kevin

I do not have one tha tI have used on a ham before but would suspect that any pork rub would do just fine (maybe add a bit of sugar or honey to the original) Do you have a pork rub already?

Try rubbing the ham with mustard, then pack on some brown sugar, spritz it with bourbon and then then pack on some crushed ginger snaps, and spritz again. I tried this one Thanksgiving, and they went ballistic.

Kevin -

Are you "smoking the pork into ham" or smoking a package ham? Some prepackaged hams are already salted and injected with brine etc. so it makes a difference.
