I found a much easier way to rinse the inside of natural casings the other day that I thought I would share. After using the kitchen sink to rinse the insides out and having the ends slide down the drain a few times, I came up with an idea. I got a large deep pot that fit under the faucet and filled it with water, then I put one end of the casing over the faucet with warm water running slowly and the other end in the pot and it fills and flushes the casing nicely and coils around the inside of the pot instead of down the drain. It found this to be a much easier way of rinsing the insides of these! After each one is flushed I put them in a bowl of water to stand by for stuffing. This may be a common practice and im sure it isnt a new idea to a lot of people, but the folks just starting out like myself in sausage making may find this to be helpfull information.
