Doing my basic hot pickle on my last ring (freezer cleaning today)

Easy no cooking the brine (well if ya want to i guess)

Vinegar
Red pepper flakes
Whole black pepper (optional)
garlic powder (3 shakes)
onion (opt)
red food color if you like

No measuring just eye it

Really this is my last :emoji_laughing::emoji_astonished:

Shake shake
Dont refrigerate (3days) on counter out of direct sunlight
If you have the plastic jar lids use them. Shake daily.

Looking good! I found an old bar room pickled eggs and sausage recipe and was considering making it. The pictures of your ring bologna pushed me over the "considering" Guess this will give something to do with the 5# of ground pork I have in the freezer this week. 🍻

You might be overestimating the age I was when i discovered the wonder of pickled eggs, LOL

I have had pickled little hot link sticks; pigs feet, of course; and i love pickled pepper loaf. Gonna have to order a jar soon (and then make some)
