Ribs

Ok hear me out on this people. My son is in first grade and has a student teacher helping right. Very nice young lady that really loves the kids and helping them learn. In her bio we got before school she mentioned she liked bbq ribs. I'm not a huge rib fan but I figure she is away from home doing the school thing and could use a good meal. Her last day is next Friday. I'm thinking of taking thievery l Thursday off and cooking some ribs for her. Am I insane or just another member here?

I give a lot of crap to the younger generation like i think we all do. This woman is just so pleasant and friendly. My son adores her so I'm all in. Thinking spare ribs with tips and just give her the whole pan and an insulated bag on Thursday. That way I get my bag back Friday. yeah I'm cheap

So this girl is a poor college student but still did a trunk or treat thing to her personal car. Gained a lot of respect from that. I want to show her that these kids love her. Want to give her ribs she can go back to her school with and be like "yeah they liked me that much".

Understand my concern. A teacher this day in age. I can't out right ask what are you allergic to? Gluten free? My wife asked her about coffee one day and she didn't say anything weird but I want to do it right.

Maybe get her a pic of you at the smoker cookin' them! I'm sure she would keep that forever as a memory of her student teaching days. Probably show it to all her friends.

Thinking even better. Take a picture of my little dude at it. Just to show he was part of it even if he was in class at the time. Also thinking of doing like three racks from Sam's so she can share with other students.
EDIT: just requested next Thursday and Friday off because, I'm not going to work Friday if I take Thursday off.

But I think this is a very nice gesture, for someone that is doing a great job for your son and others.
And away from home . It will also show that people ( you ) notice the job she is doing.

My Daughter teaches Kindergarten . She , and Teachers in general spend a chunk of their own money on the kids . Most people don't realize it , because they do it because they care . Not for attention . So when their efforts get rewarded by someone like you it makes an impact . Trust me .
Samantha comes home with flowers , gift cards , cookies , candies ,, you name it .
I can tell by her smile how much it means to her .
So make the ribs , and as said above don't worry about the rest .
Except mabye go St. Louis cut . Can't have the poor girl choke on a rib tip !

Get her a gift card or something just to show she was appreciated . Doesn't have to be a lot .
