Hi, I'm new to the forum and am interested in recipes for smoking on an electric smoker. I just received my smoker for christmas and fixing to pull my first set of ribs off. They smell great and I can't wait to dig in. I am planning on doing a beef rump roast on my smoker in a couple days and any info on rubs and cooking temps would be greatly appreciated. Look forward to seeing ya'lls replies.

Ok, guess I should have put a little more info in my post. I'm from Ragley, Louisiana. I have a Masterbuilt electric smoker. I am an avid hunter and fisher. I'm brand new to using a smoker so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello and welcome from East Texas. This is a great site, lots of information and great people that are willing to throw in their two cents worth on about anything.

Welcome aboard Chad!  Congrats on that new MES!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  A good place to start for tips on getting the most out of your new smoker is the Electric Smoker Forum:

Good luck and have fun!
