Kinda in a Christmas mood, so instead of chestnuts roasting over and open fire we are doing ribs roasted over an open fire!!!!!

First the Ribs! Scored a full tray of double r ranch beef ribs for 2.49/lb!!!

Seasoned heavily with SPOG....a full tray of beef ribs is a beautiful thing!

Preparing the open flame....a chimney of coals in the X-Fire....

So next to a full tray of beef ribs, this view is beautiful squared!!!

The X-Fire is warm and ready for roasting!

The whole family is stretched out on the couches with grins of stupor.....

Man you nailed it on those ribs! And what a great price for such a great meal! I know if I were there I would be in a food coma by now!

Thanks! We have found a honey hole that almost always has them at this price....I can say it’s a bad thing!

Slow cooking them over the flame is our new favorite way to prep them! It has caused many food comas!

Plain and simple, a totally beautiful piece of work! Best price I've ever seen for beef ribs. Like, RAY

Thanks Ray!

The X-Fire makes it easy for sure. We just love having it in our family!!!

Thanks Chris! I’m thinken the kids should leave a rib or two out for Santa this year....forget the cookies! Santa needs to sleep after a hard nights work......coma.....lol

Thanks Al! These ones spent a little over two hours slow roasting above the cherry wood and I it’s hard to explain the flavor that is developed from the open flame! All I can say is dinner is very quite after the initial “oh man” statement....that is except for the teeth chomping.....

Edit.....the only problem is there is a lot of complaining afterwards.....like why dad why.....and I shouldn't have had those last two ribs.....lol

Perfect !

Thanks chop!!! I will agree these are some of the best ribs I’ve ever done.....and I’ve done a lot of ribs....if I can quote marry poppins....”practically perfect in every way”.
