Great looking steak Bear! Charcoal grilling method is the "bees knees" in my book. (See what I did there?)

I was also noticing how you arranged your charcoal in a semicircle... interesting.

Thank You Doug!
We used "Ken's Honey Teriyaki Marinade" for many years, but a few years ago, Mrs Bear couldn't find it, so she bought a bottle of "Lawry's Teriyaki Marinade". We've been getting that ever since, because it's just as good as Ken's, and costs less.

Thanks bear, I’m gonna have to add that to the pantry

Bear, did you recently cook deer burgers? I'm always looking for new ways to cook the 3 deer I got last season. If you have time, I would be interested to see your fav ways to cook them.

I have ground deer, cubed, strap, and of course sausage as my choices from the processor.

Here ya go:
My favorite thing to do with Venison Backstrap:
Venison Backstrap Dried Beef #2

But if you have a Sous Vide---These are Great:
Venison Backstrap (Sous Vide)

My Deerburgers are 50% Venison, 25% Pork, and 25% Beef, like Below:

I love Rib eye! Yours looks great Bear and everything else for that matter!

P.s. your yard looks so pretty with white clovers! :D

Thank You Young Lady!!
LOL---Those pretty white flowers survive pretty good too! The wind from my mower blades blows them down, causing my Blades to miss them. Then after I drive by, they pop back up. I don't mind---That way I have plenty of clover every year!!
I got a half dozen Bunnies here that love it too. And Tons of Deer!!

I got hooked on "Teriyaki" in Hawaii, in 1969:
I got stationed there right after Vietnam, and Mrs Bear quit her job & came down to be with me there.
We ate at a place in Honolulu that had what they called "Teriyaki Steak". It had a tangy Teriyaki Glaze on it that I have never quite been able to duplicate. It was Freaking Awesome. Ever since that I've tried just about everything "Teriyaki" I run into, but nothing has been as good as those Steaks were. At that time, I'm pretty sure the name of that Restaurant was "The Rigger". Sure wish I would have gotten that recipe!!

Looks great! Especially the breakfast nest morning - I actually like the steak and eggs the next morning just about as much as the original cook the night before.

That Lil Smokey Joe is a great grill for us empty nesters. Perfect size for Mrs. BD and me. B

Yup---It fits just right for us too!!
Especially now that I don't eat so much per meal, like I used to!!!
