Don't mean to spam with threads on my first day but I have a question IRT rib racks. Does anybody on here use them and what are the advantages? I almost bought one today while picking up wood at Acadamy but held out only to get home and find that we have one. My wife bought it a couple of years ago bc she thought it would make a nice fruit/bread basket....which it has. However, I'm considering tossing the bread loaf and apples on the counter and using it as it was intended tonight but figured I'd get an opinion before the wife and I go to blows over the "bread basket". Thanks in avance for anyadvice.

They work great, really saves alot of space on your smoker.  If I am only cooking ribs, I typically won't use mine, but if I want to cook a lot of food and need the space, the rib rack comes in handy.  One negative to a rib rack is if your spritzing, you stand a chance of the spritz washing off the rub since the rack is standing up, not laying flat.  As far as cooking and final product, they really don't effect the meat either good or bad, just allow for more space.  I'm sure others will chime in with their thoughts...

if you're my wife you flip it over and throw bread and fruit in it
That just isn't right
