Looking to mod a Brinkmann TMLE into a reverse flow and have a couple of options I'm looking at.

Is there a minimum distance needed from the reverse flow baffle to the cooking grate?  Doesn't seem like there would be, but want to make sure I'm not missing something.  I plan to use the baffle plate as a drip pan with a drain through the bottom of the cooking chamber.

Hello HeiHei29er,

Four to six inches is typical, but I would consider 3" as the absolute minimum.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks SmokeJumper!  You saved me some re-work because I was probably going to be more like 1.5".

Time for Plan B...
