My name is Nate and I'm from upstate NY. I was relatively active here a while back, but haven't been on in a couple years. I tried to sign into my old account, but I couldn't for the life of me remember my old username or even the email I used. Oh well, fresh start!

I learned a lot in my time here and fell in love with barbecue. So much to the point that I'm getting ready to get into small scale catering. We're in the R&D stage right now. We're getting educated on the business side and developing recipes. I feel like we're playing it smart and safe by taking baby steps to get into the business, but I'm excited to take the next step.

Still plenty to learn, though. So I figured the best thing to do was to come back here to the place where I learned from the start. Hopefully I've learned enough to share some insight, myself, along the way.

Thanks, everyone!

I was able to do a search for my old posts, and found my old username. But our business name is going to be Bumppo's BBQ, so I think I'll keep this one. I'm looking forward to continuing to learn along my journey!

Where abouts in upstate NY? I have learned that the term is very broad for a good portion of the state. :emoji_laughing:

Here is a simplified, yet fairly accurate map of NY. You'll find me in the southeast corner of upstate in the Glens Falls/Lake George area.
