Just returned MES G 2 and ordered MES G1 for 4 dollars cheaper on amazon.

Guess you didn't read the other suggestions and or your budget was smaller than required for the other suggestions in the other threads.

Glad u got rid of that Gen 2......good luck with the Gen 1....hope it works out.

Thanks for your advice. I was considering the smoke it but I am also buying a car this week so I didn't want to overwhelm the wife.

I actually may eventually go with a real offset smoker at some point if I become passionate enough about this.

I'm going to get the cold smoker attachment with it so I don't have to babysit it.
