Well I THOUGHT I was done with cheese sandwich posts...
But then turns out Friday was a Solemnity, so our family got to eat meat, so couldn't pass up the opportunity to at meat to our Friday cheese sandwiches!

This week I opened what was supposed to be a 4 month old Manchego, but the make went poorly, took forever to dry and developed a washed rind. Flavor was good but wrong for the style and texture is terrible, crumbly and gets stuck in the throat. Went into the press with too much whey and developed to much acid in the cave.

But... IT MELTS!
Sliced a ball tip roast very thin on the slicer, added salt, pepper and celery seeds. Smashed into patties and started grilling the gluten free focaccia.

Melted since cheese on the side.

Flipped the cheese over onto the patty.

Finished sandwiches. Peppers and onions were added on the plate.

Thanks for looking!
That is some good eating. It's always good to be able to salvage something that doesn't go as planned, in this case the cheese.

Awesome meal!
Putting the ole BS to work! Nice job, they look mighty tasty! I always like to see cooks from the griddles get a ride on the spinner! Congrats!!
Thanks for the ride on the carousel and the kind comments!
My wife has gotten real good at gluten free buns and we have been eating allot of sandwiches. Last night was pulled pork sandwiches. My 8 y.o. daughter walks by and with her newly developing sassiness says "hamburgers again?"
I almost spanked her, but instead told her I was going to have a talk with her teacher about learning some critical life lesson definitions (she is homeschooled 🤣). is reader supported and as an Amazon Associate, we may earn commissions from qualifying purchases.
